Where We Live: Portland Gay Men’s Chorus

October 08, 2019 by Kurt Bedell

The 2019-20 year marks the 40th season of the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus. In the shadow of Stonewall and tragedy of Harvey Milk’s assassination in San Francisco, the 4th oldest gay chorus in the US was born. Watch KOIN 6’s Ken Bodde reflect on PGMC’s history and place in Portland.

“Laureen Nussbaum wishes you’d remember Anne Frank more for her potential as a budding literary artist than for her painful chronicling of life as a Jewish kid hiding from the Nazis in World War II.”

Read my story of Laureen Nussbaum’s incredible life journey, published in this month’s Portland State Magazine.
